My Grandfather would turn 116 tomorrow.  No he was not like what we know a grandfather to be today, but he did love us and while children should be seen and not heard and only seen when he wanted someone to play checkers or chess with.  Oh yes, please could you make me some Tea,  He faced much in his life and i am sure that he suffered from headaches all the time.  Maybe it was just due to his wife, who had no time for Our mom or any of us girls.  Men where much more for her.   here is what the internet has to say about Grandpa.

William Donaldson Stephen was born on 9 November 1895 at Glasgow, Scotland. He enlisted in the 76th Overseas Battalion at Hamilton, Ontario on 28 July 1915, having served for a year with the XIII Royal Regiment. He was unmarried and employed as a template maker, and listed his mother, Mrs. O. Stephen of 112 Strachan Street, Hamilton, Ontario, as next-of-kin.
Private W.D. Stephen was wounded in October 1918.

 its hard to believe that we have been together for 35 years,  Some good, some not so good, but most wonderful and I would not change a day.  Ron  is my best friend, confident and always always has time for me.  He is my world but is not who i am... Though in resent years we often think the very same thought.  Sorry to say, it was not always like this.  Many days we were just to busy to even wonder if we had time for each other, but Thankfully we did....  I love him with my whole heart and i did, do and will do anything to make his life the best that it can be.  He was an wonderful father to the kids, and is now their friend.  His music it beyond talking about, and while lots know this, many have no idea of his ability.  He hears a song once and go and play it.  He says he would rather be blind cus then he could still play.   Yes Sheila he often has dirt under his fingernails but i have never had to hire anyone to do anything for me.   My vehicles are always in top running order and always clean.  We have renovated 4 homes and he has done most of the work himself.   We have owned trucks cars, bikes,skates,scooters trikes ATV skids, trailers  and he fixed them all again and again so everyone has been safe. Small appliances to Furnaces and Hot tubs all have always worked in our house.  Thanks beyond words,
